Yes, that's right. In case you don't know, there are 9 current series of Amiibo. These range from the Smash Bros. series to adorable little yarn yoshi's.

Here's the good news: They both have the same compatability. But if you have a Smash Bros. fighter on one, then you need to erase the data to use the same amiibo in Mario Party 10.

Apparently, these amiibo will pose as a 2nd player CPU in Yoshi's Wooly World. Other amiibo such as DK, Link and Mario can be used to unlock costumes for your Yoshi to use in the game. These amiibo figures can also serve as Yoshi in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3ds. The other amiibo from Smash don't have to erase data to be used in Wooly World.

These amaz-INK figures can unlock challenges for you to complete. If you complete all of the challenges, you can get some awesome gear! Inkling Boy provides roller challenges, the Inkling Girl provides charger challenges and the squid provides Kraken squid and limited ink challenges.

Announced in the Micro Nintendo Direct, Chibi Robo finally gets a new game called Chibi Robo Zip Lash for the Nintendo 3DS. This game will have amiibo functionality with only its very own Chibi Robo amiibo figure. The figure makes Chibi-Robo very powerful!

These are the first amiibo cards to ever be announced for release. These are only for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer which is now on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. These cards unlock characters you can build houses for in the game.

(Left) These are the new Skylander-Amiibo hybrid figures. On the bottom of the base, there is a small dial. If you turn it, you can switch from Amiibo to Skylander and vice versa. They also come with a vehiclefor them to use in the upcoming game Skylanders Super Chargers for Wii U, 3DS, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and probably a few other platforms I missed.

These are the new Animal Crossing amiibo. They only work in the upcoming game Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival for Nintendo Wii U (releasing in Q4 2015)

These amiibo celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. series. They spawn in a Super Mushroom in Super Mario Maker. They also serve as Mario in Super Smash Bros.
